Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac Games have shared a new image on their official Twitter, which many players see as a tease for the much-requested sequel.

Ever since the release of Sunset Overdrive back in 2014, Insomniac Games have been pretty quiet about the potential sequels. Sunset Overdrive received great reviews from both players and gaming critics and it is one of the best Microsoft exclusives at the moment. Therefore, many fans would love to see another title with expanded playgrounds and a ton of other cool features but at the moment, Insomniac Games are yet to officially announce the sequel.

However, it seems that the developers are teasing something Sunset Overdrive-related over at their official Twitter. Insomniac posted a photo which features a monster, which is pretty similar to the ones in Sunset Overdrive. You can check it out below.

Now, it is not clear why Insomniac decided to share such screenshot but some players are hoping that this could mean another Sunset Overdrive game is coming. PlayStation 4 players, on the other hand, hope that Insomniac Games are working on a PlayStation 4 port or a sequel on the upcoming PlayStation 5. The latter could be possible since Sony own Insomniac Games and the rights to all of Insomniac's wholly-owned properties which include the Sunset Overdrive IP. However,  Microsoft still own the publishing rights.

Also, Sony president Shuhei Yoshida confirmed previously that Sony do not have any interest in working out some sort of agreement to port Sunset Overdrive to PS4. "I am looking forward to future titles," he said.
