Microsoft finally showed off some Halo Infinite gameplay during the Xbox Games Showcase, revealing plenty of weapons and the grappling hook in the process.
Halo Infinite has been on the lips of countless fans whenever a conversation about the Xbox Games Showcase would pop up over the past few weeks. The reason for that was that we haven't seen any gameplay until today, July 23, 2020.
It was quite the showcase, as the gameplay walkthrough showed a portion of the campaign, a villain and more, which we will not describe in detail in order to avoid spoilers. You can check the video below and see for yourself though.
The grappling hook was also a focus of discussions about the upcoming game from 343 Industries and we got to see it in action as well. It can be used as both utility and an aggressive tool as the player can pull themselves to hard surfaces, pull items towards them or use it as a gap closer in order to melee enemies.
Melee combat is always fun but those looking to keep distance will not be left out in the cold. Namely, the trailer showed us the iconic assault rifle in the MA 40 version but many other weapons were displayed afterwards. In order of appearance, these include:
- MK 50 Sidekick
- Plasma Pistol (only the name was seen)
- VK 78 Commando
- Pulse Carbine
- CQS 48 Bulldog
Multiplayer gameplay will be revealed later on in the year. Those who are in it just for the singleplayer experience will have plenty to do though as this Halo ring has been described as several times bigger than the previous two combined.
