Halo Infinite developers, 343 Industries, say they put more effort into a fully-fledged damage response system to vehicles, moving away from just a simple "health pool" mechanic.

Over the last couple of weeks, 343 Industries have started to share more details about their upcoming shooter Halo Infinite. In the last blog post, the devs focused on the game's sandbox elements and how gameplay mechanics come as one in this huge-open world of Halo Infinite.

Today, 343 Industries have added a couple of more information about the game in the latest development video. One of the interesting new details is regarding a brand new vehicle damage system, which will add a dose of realism to the gameplay.

343 Industries state that they have put a lot more effort into a fully-fledged damage response system to vehicles, moving away from just a simple "health pool". The developers explain that vehicles will handle differently based on the spot of received damage - blow up tires etc.

The new vehicle damage system will allow more strategy and counter-play, "I could shoot out the wheels, I could shoot out different areas of the wings," 343 devs mention.
