ArenaNet released the first beta for End of Dragons expansion in Guild Wars 2, allowing players to test out some of the upcoming Elite specialisations.
Guild Wars 2 now has additional character creation options that will let you test out the upcoming Elite specialisations from End of Dragons - Harbinger for Necromancers, Virtuoso for Mesmers and Willbender for Guardians.
There will probably be variations to make each spec more or less viable in both PvE and PvP but there still needs to be a lot of testing that will allow us to know where they could be utilised the best.
However, Willbender's extreme focus on mobility leaves little room for doubt that it's meant to be a PvP spec so you are likely to see a lot of them running around in Conquest. Keep in mind that Willbenders have two primary ways of keeping you in place in order to do their burst - the heel kick that stuns and the Greatsword ability that chains and pulls you towards them. Other than that, you should be able to kite them more or less but make sure you bring a lot of CC. They are not built for prolonged fights so try to bait out their burst and then just run them down with your allies.
The beta is available for everyone, including free-to-play members so take your shot before August 21, 2021, when the beta will go out.
