One of the most-anticipated shooters of 2024, Stalker 2, just got a couple of updated screenshots on Epic Games Store. These screenshots are identical to those that GSC Game World released a while back, showcasing the stunningly detailed open world.
However, one small difference can be found in the HUD. The new one features a couple of new details like the red health bar, a larger ammo counter in the lower right corner and a somewhat smaller radar at the top. Other than that, the differences are negligible.
Additionally, eagled-eyed Stalker 2 fans have noticed that GSC Game World changed the profile picture and cover photos on the official Facebook and X pages. Many Stalker 2 fans seem to think that this is a hint that some new announcement might be on the way.
At the moment, GSC Game World have not announced a new gameplay showcase for Stalker 2 but we would not be surprised if they indeed have something ready since the game should launch in Q1 2024.
On the other hand, it's also possible that the game still needs more time in the oven and we don't get it in the next couple of months. Stalker 2 was already delayed several times so another delay would not come a massive surprise.
All in all, we are really hopeful that something Stalker 2-related is coming soon as our excitement for the game is really growing with each passing day, especially when looking at those gorgeous screenshots above.
Stalker 2 is launching on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox app and Xbox Series X|S. A PlayStation 5 version is yet to be announced.
