GSC Game World has published a new S. T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope location showcase. This latest trailer details two areas players will visit in the upcoming DLC: Chornobyl Power Plant and Iron Forest. Both locations will be available to explore starting August 20 when Cost of Hope launches for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Cost of Hope is introducing players to new parts of the Zone they have never been able to access before. Developer GSC Game World confirmed fans will be able to explore new locations not seen in previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Iron Forest and Chornobyl Power Plant are two of Cost of Hope’s main locations players can explore.
Chornobyl Power Plant makes a return this August as one of the major locations in Cost of Hope. Iron Forest is another bleak location full of abandoned industrial facilities players can explore. As has been typical with the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, both locations are engulfed by an eerie atmosphere.
These locations are going to be difficult to get to according to the developer. Those that do choose to tackle the new exploration challenges will find new story missions as well. There isn’t much gameplay shown in this newest trailer, players can at least get a better look at the incredible environments that await stalkers this summer.
Cost of Hope will continue the narrative that began in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Not only will players get to see new regions of the Zone, but they will also get to explore them.
This newest trailer shows players just how much care GSC Game World is putting into the world. Abandoned buildings, overrun structures, and familiar landmarks are all here and look better than ever.
Players can enter the Zone once again starting August 20. Cost of Hope will introduce new locations to explore and new stories for players to experience in the post-apocalyptic survival sequel.
