Epic Games have updated Fortnite: Battle Royale to version 4.3, adding Mushrooms as shield replenishment, its first vehicle the Shopping Cart and two previously available and quite popular limited time modes, Blitz v2 and Teams of 20 V2.
Fortnite will now allow players to drive around in Shopping Carts, either alone or with a friend pushing them. You've got to give it to Epic Games, because when everyone except Battlefield V devs is stressed over realism and the wow factor, Fortnite's devs go for wacky solutions such as this. And they nail it most of the time too.
Driving Fortnite's Shopping Cart is no rocket science. You either push it yourself and then jump in, free to wreak havoc all around you, or you can just have a buddy push you around. Either way, there are already some examples of teammates dying laughing, which has always been Fortnite's stronger side.
To be fair, Fortnite has never really needed means transportation, as the map seems just about right, but the Shopping Cart does allow for slightly faster travels. Personally, I tend to live in Storm Circles so occasional speed boost definitely won't hurt.
Now joining health replenishing Apples are Mushrooms, which Epic Games scattered around "shady wooded or swampy areas". Each Mushroom will grant 5 shield, up to a maximum of 100.
Epic Games have also brought back two earlier modes, the Blitz and Teams of 20. Both come with a V2 moniker, meaning they're new and improved, as well as enriched with all the features that launched in the meantime, such as Port-a-Forts and the LMG .
Just in case you've hopped on the Fortnite bandwagon a bit later, its Blitz mode is pure carnage with faster storms and more loot than you'll probably use. Blitz V2 matches will last 15 minutes.
The other Fortnite's returning mode, Teams of 20 V2, now has a bus for each team, making those coordinated drops a breeze. Teams are divided into five squads with four players each. Again, there'll be more loot than you can carry. Perhaps a Shopping Cart could help?
