Square Enix's forthcoming PlayStation 5 console exclusive is having a bad day at the office with mostly mixed reviews from gaming outlets that got their hands on an early review code.
Various gaming outlets and content creators have published their reviews of the PlayStation 5 console exclusive Forspoken , which is officially set to launch tomorrow - January 25, 2023.
Judging by the reviews, it's safe to say that Square Enix's latest action RPG is having a bad day at the office, scoring 68 out of 100 Metascore , based on 58 reviews at the time of writing this article.
Most of the reviewers seem to agree that the game's story and characters are average or straight-up bad, while dialogue and writing also seem to be a major disappointment.
On OpenCritic, Forspoken scored 70 out of 100, which is enough to receive a "Fair" badge. However, only 30 per cent of reviewers recommend this one, which is quite telling.
There are some reviewers who praised the game, scoring it 9/10. They praised the combat, various spells and progression system. However, the general consensus from the media seems to be that Forspoken is just an okay game at best.
