Square Enix's Final Fantasy 16 finally launched to PC users via Steam and the Epic Games Store yesterday, with prices set at $49.99 for the standard version and $69.99 for the Complete Edition.
But as PC users dive head-first into the experience, one might say the PS5 version hasn't exactly been free of problems, especially after a system update that left quite a bit of sting.
Everything from crashes to various other graphical glitches affecting players on PS5 are issues the development team at Square Enix has acknowledged.
They are now working with Sony Interactive Entertainment to get down to the bottom of these problems. While they are indeed investigating, no timeline has surfaced just yet on when fixes can be expected.
Specific to graphical issues, players reported a wide range of weirdness on the Final Fantasy 16 subreddit. These include characters glowing when they are not supposed to, to graphical distortions including green pixelation popping up on the floor and walls; everything has disrupted the experience for several users and has gotten quite a few frustrated in the community.
While the development team is promising more updates sometime in the future, they call for patience among players as the team works on finding a fix for these problems.
Since this is not mated with an exact duration, fans should expect further news from Square Enix concerning forthcoming patches and updates.
