Halo universe is hectic these days as it's quite unclear whether 343 Industries will keep developing the franchise.

Halo Infinite had some positives and some negatives but while it ended up being an enjoyable experience initially, it didn't manage to reach anywhere near the heights the classics did in their time.

With the poor management of the multiplayer components, 343 Industries eventually disappointed the fans who had some hopes after seeing the launch, which led to speculations and rumours about the franchise and studio's future.

Eventually, it was rumoured that 343 would no longer be at the Halo helm following a wave of layoffs at Microsoft.

Not long after the rumour went viral, Halo's official Twitter account announced this would not be the case.

"Halo and Master Chief are here to stay. 343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and in the future, including epic stories, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great." ~Pierre Hintze, Studio Head

Hintze's statement relayed the message it was supposed to but some fans doubt how accurate these claims are. After all, 343 has repeatedly failed to reach Halo's potential for 15 years now.

Additionally, epic stories and multiplayer weren't really accurate Halo Infinite descriptors - the former had a melodramatic diva that kept ruining the moment from the get-go and the latter was abandoned for so long the community abandoned hope of having an epic multiplayer adventures in the future.
