Everspace 2 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 15, 2023.
Considering this is a singleplayer space exploration title, it could run into a lot of trouble if it were to be released just one month later as it would have to compete with Starfield in what is roughly the same genre.
Rockfish managed to avoid that particular iceberg but it will still have to compete with great games in other genres, such as Baldur's Gate 3 and Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.
In any case, Everspace 2 will set you back $49.99 USD / £44.99 / €49.99 while Xbox Game Pass players will be able to play it on day one, without having to purchase the title.
PC Game Pass and Microsoft Store players can also join in on the fun, although this was already known since around 120,000 players already enjoyed the game via this particular service.
PlayStation 5 has some selling points as well, with the DualSense features being utilised to their fullest potential with controller haptic feedback, adaptive trigger, and speaker features, tying gameplay with the in-hand response.
Also, PS5 players can preorder the game with a 20 per cent discount. Normally, this isn't something we would suggest doing but there are already enough reviews and gameplay videos available to make an educated decision whether you like the game or not so you can commit properly if decide you like what you see.
