Everspace 2 is set to release on April 6, 2023, for PC via Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store.
The game is also in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S but these versions are coming at some point during the Summer of 2023.
All of that accounts for a total of more than five years in development and two years in Early Access but the 1.0 version of the game is finally upon us and Rockfish set the price tag at $50 / €50 on the product which will have expansions in the future.
The first expansion is planned for 2024 and will be presumably a paid one but before that happens, the devs are looking to deliver a free content update in the second half of 2023.
In case you are wondering whether you should hop into the space adventure, the Steam community that played the incomplete game thus far has left 87 per cent positive reviews which is obviously a good impression, especially because they didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the full game yet.
Everspace 2 is also not intense on system requirements, with the likes of GTX 1060 or AMD Raden RX 580 finding their way to the Recommended section while the minimum you will need is GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
Out of the two GPUs in minimum requirements, the Nvidia one packs a grand total of 3GB VRAM while the one from Team Red has 4GB. They both launched an entire decade ago.
