From Software have released another minor patch for Elden Ring, fixing the performance issues on PC and the save game progression on PS5.
The latest Elden Ring patch is now live on PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. It brings a couple of small improvements to the performance and some bug fixes. It's nothing major so don't expect to see massive frame pacing improvements after you update your game.
Here are the full patch notes for Elden Ring Patch 1.02.2:
PC
- Fixed an issue where the graphics card was not being used, resulting in slow performance.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to quit under certain conditions during a battle with the Fire Giant.
- Fixed other bugs.
PlayStation 5
- Changes to save game progression even when the game is not terminated.
The patch is yet to go live on the Xbox platforms but it should be coming in no time since the previous patch was also released shortly after the PC and PS5 versions.
As for future updates, we expect to see additional improvements to the performance on PC, which is still not in a good shape regardless of how powerful your hardware is.
On a pretty solid PC with Radeon RX 6800, we occasionally get big frame rate drops which can be quite annoying, especially during tense boss fights.
Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
