From Software have officially confirmed that Elden Ring will now release on February 25, 2021, not January as originally planned. The devs also announced a closed network test which is coming next month.

Elden Ring has been officially delayed. Luckily, the delay is not a major one - the game will now launch on February 25, which is basically a month later than From Software initially planned. "Elden Ring will release on Feb 25, 2022, as the depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations," From Software state in the announcement.

However, it's not all bad news for Elden Ring fans today. Along with the delay announcement, From Sofware also revealed that they will be hosting a closed network test for a selected group of players from November 12 to November 15, 2021.

All platforms will get to participate with the exception of PC. You can sign up on Bandai Namco's official website.

If you get the invite, you will be able to play Elden Ring closed network test in the following sessions:

  • Session 1: 12 PM - 3 PM CET, November 12, 2021
  • Session 2: 4 AM - 7 AM CET, November 13, 2021
  • Session 3: 8 PM - 11 PM CET, November 13, 2021
  • Session 4: 12 PM - 3 PM CET, November 14, 2021
  • Session 5: 4 AM - 7 AM CET, November 15, 2021
