Pre-load for Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree begins June 19. Here's everything you need to know on how to pre-load on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC platforms.
Elden Ring's DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, is almost here, after two long years of waiting. FromSoftware's been burning the midnight oil crafting their biggest expansion yet.
And now, it's finally time to ditch the Lands Between for a whole new playground called The Land of Shadow. This expansion promises to go deeper into the story of Miquella, that misterious character everyone's been whispering about but never seen. Everything points out that the Shadow of the Erdtree is about to take the Elden Ring experience to a whole new level.
Can You Preload Elden Ring DLC?
The preloading starts on June 19 for the PlayStation Store. The download size of the DLC is 16.502 GB on PlayStation 5. This DLC will auto-update for PlayStation users on Wednesday, June 19th at 12:00 p.m. EST, allowing players to download the content two days before the official release and have instant access on launch day without additional downloading.
As of now, there's no information about preload times for PC and Xbox. We will update this article with new information if it comes.

- Visit the store for your platform and purchase the DLC
- Preload when available
Once preloading is enabled, click the Preload button when viewing your store's web page. So, if you want to play on launch day, preloading is the process of downloading most or all necessary files in advance to allow immediate play.
