Escape from Tarkov players will soon be able to earn additional rewards while Twitch just by watching content or supporting streamers on the platform. The developers at Battlestate Games have announced that Twitch Drops will return with the start of Kord Breach Season 1.
Scheduled to launch on August 5, there will actually be two campaigns running concurrently. The first one is called Global Twitch Drops and the other is Twitch Subscription Rewards.
Global Twitch Drops will be available from August 5 to August 17 from 2:00 PM BST / 9:00 AM EDT. All players need to do is watch streamers in the Escape from Tarkov category on Twitch to begin accruing reward containers. There will be three rarities of containers that players can earn: Common, Rare, and Epic. All rewards that players earn will be exclusive to Seasonal characters.
Players need to own a valid copy of Escape from Tarkov and link their Twitch account and Battlestate Games accounts. Streamers will also need to link their accounts to allow their viewers to receive Drops.
The Twitch Subscription Rewards is another campaign Battlestate Games is offering this season. This campaign will run from August 5 until August 8 and is quite different from the Global Drops.
Players who buy five paid Twitch subscriptions will receive three permanent account unlocks that can be used in PvE, PvP, and during Season. This applies to both normal and gifted subscriptions.
Players can use gifted subscriptions toward this goal and will count as the purchaser. Renewals count as well. Free subscriptions do not count and these include subscriptions from Amazon Prime, Bits, and other promotions. Players can only claim these rewards once per Twitch account and per Battlestate Games account.
