Destiny 2 players were worried that Bungie might delay the reveal and release of Season 11 but a community manager has dispelled these fears with a single tweet.
Season of the Worthy is coming to an end next Tuesday and if you ask Destiny 2 players, many will say that it has overstayed its welcome. Seraph Bunkers were a public event as opposed to a matchmade activity, we got swamped with more bounties to grind and unlock Bunker bonuses, three times over.
Therefore, it is no wonder that the community just wants the season to be over in hopes that the next one is better. Some got spooked by the recent events in the gaming industry as several companies decided to postpone their announcements and releases in order to leave the spotlight for the protests in USA.
Destiny 2 players were worried that Bungie might do something similar and postpone Season 11 but this will not be the case. Maurice Zerjav, German community manager for the game, confirmed that the new season will indeed commence on June 9, 2020 and that if the companion app showed something else, a restart would fix it.
In other words, players have less than five days left to farm out the likes of Seventh Seraph weapons or the catalyst for the Fourth Horseman.
On the matter of Bungie not delaying their announcement and release, it wouldn't be fair to call them insensitive to the plight of minorities. Beside having a track record of organising charity runs, the studio already made the statement regarding the protests in USA and their cause, noting that they are already donating to the cause.
The latest TWAB mentioned this again, announced the continued support for marginalised groups and the upcoming Pride Month.
