Xur is back for another round of Exotic peddling. He has some quite interesting offerings all around, despite none of them being meta.
For the week of July 3, 2020, Destiny 2 players can find Xur in Hangar in the Tower. To get to him, just spawn in the Courtyard and put a waypoint tracker on Amanda Holliday. When you get to her, turn left and keep going to the landing pad. You will see Xur up the stairs to the left, pictured below.
Xur's weapon on sale this week is The Huckleberry, an Exotic SMG. It is one of the best weapons in the game when it comes to clearing minor bosses so if you want to make a Lost Sector, Strike or Menagerie run go smoother and faster, this is the go-to weapon. It ramps up the fire rate and recoil as you keep holding the fire button and reloads half the mag when you kill something. Catalyst makes it reload the entire magazine. In other words, you can keep stacking Rampage without ever reloading, provided there are enough enemies around.
Hunters get Lucky Pants this week, which are perfect for the gunslinger fantasy. They will cause precision hits to load one bullet into your holstered hand cannon. Furthermore, it gives equipped hand cannons the Quickdraw perk and switching to one makes it have better accuracy for a short period of time. It is perfect for double hand cannon loadouts as you will be landing precision hits easier than ever before. Try it with a 110 RPM hand cannon coupled with Eriana's Vow in Crucible for some extremely quick two taps.
Titans get Mask of the Quiet One which is best described as a tank item for PvE. Receiving damage grants ability energy while Void ability kills regenerate your health. You can basically just stand in a horde of enemies and keep punching them to death.
Lunafactio Boots' glory days may be over as they no longer automatically reload weapons but the buffs they provide are still significant. If you didn't equip Ophidian Aspect or some Exotic that is specifically tailored to a single build, it may be worth giving them a go.
