Xur is back with another round of Exotic goodies. The week of 21 February 2020 brings useful gear pieces for all three classes but the weapon that Captain Tentacle is offering is somewhat unnecessary in most situations.
Xur can be found in Winding Cove this week. Spawn on the waypoint, turn left towards Firebase Hades and proceed until you get to the ridge that forks the road in two. Take the one to the right and follow it until you reach the crashed ship with blue light underneath. Search for a cave entrance where the light is, go through it and you will stumble upon Xur.
The Colony is the weapon that we get this week. It is a grenade launcher for those who can't hit things with regular explosions since the tiny insectoid robots that spawn from the projectile will seek nearby targets. The weapon is not exceptionally strong in any scenario and therefore probably not worth occupying the Exotic spot but make sure you unlock it to avoid getting it from Fated Engrams later on.
Raiden Flux is the Hunter piece of the week. If you are playing the Arc trees in PvP, this is a great pickup since it will extend the duration of your Super for each enemy hit. There is really no reason to miss out on this Exotic.
Mask of the Quiet One is a great Exotic for Sentinel subclass. Titans who equip this piece will gain energy for all abilities when damaged, which makes the weapon extremely useful in PvE if you are looking for faster ways to kill enemies. Furthermore, Void Kills regenerate your health so you can just keep popping abilities and heal for good measure.
Crown of Tempests is similarly useful for Warlocks. Getting Arc kills grants better recharge rate to Warlock's abilities which makes it great for clearing out large numbers of enemies in PvE or even better ability spam in PvP if you are proficient enough to keep the recharge bonus going.
