Destiny 2's PvP enthusiasts have been waiting for Trials of Osiris to come along for quite a while now and Bungie finally confirmed that they will indulge these players with Season of the Worthy.
Destiny 2's PvP community felt neglected after prolonged periods of not getting new content with just the Iron Banner popping up from time to time and even then it is just a spin on the regular Control in Crucible.
After Season of Dawn concludes, Bungie will be showing some love for us sweaty folk who enjoy a challenge, be it a tactical or mechanical one. Trials of Osiris will return with Season of the Worthy, which should finally be announced at some point during 26 February 2020, along with the removal of those [Redacted] tags in This Week at Bungie posts.
Fans speculated Trails would be back with the next season already but the official confirmation from Bungie didn't happen until Wednesday, 26 February 2020 when they released the video shown below.
It features some of the gear that the fans might look forward to, provided they like the old Egyptian thematic. If you guessed that the gear set is the original one that was available in the first Destiny, then you guessed right. Some may not be looking forward to recycled gear but at least they will be getting a new PvP activity.
On that note, if you didn't participate in Trials before, it is an event that runs over weekends and wraps up on the next weekly reset. Power advantages will be enabled which puts quite a spin on the Destiny 2 version of the activity.
Power is largely dictated by the seasonal artefact in Destiny 2 and just grinding experience for it will provide a significant advantage in Trials, unless Bungie introduces a way to nullify its effects in this particular activity. The players are already concerned about this potential issue but we expect the next TWAB will offer more information on how this will be handled.
