Bungie has so far revealed most of what you might be interested in when it comes to the raid and the world first race in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

While expansions bring new content and overhauls of existing systems which is enough to get the fans hyped up and refresh the game, Destiny 2 also has the race to be the first team in the world to complete the new raid.

Bungie offered some details on the event in the hours leading up to the launch of The Witch Queen but more will be revealed later just after the launch, like the raid itself.

For starters, the raid is called The Vow of the Disciple and it will launch on March 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM UTC / 7:00 PM CET. Just as the raid launches, so will the competition to the world's first.

When Bungie confirms the winning team, they will win one-of-a-kind World First title belts for each team member along with the World First title. The announcement of the winning team will be revealed in the days after the launch of the raid.

Unfortunately, there are no concise details on the rules for the time being but it would be safe to assume they would be akin to those we've seen previously as the world's first races have received much better regulation as the time went on, reaching the point where the fans are happy with the way the winners are chosen.

Needless to say, the process involved Bungie looking closer into the teams finishing first and vetting them properly before declaring a winner, in order to avoid giving the title to possible cheaters.
