Bungie have realased the first teaser trailer for Destiny 2's Season of Opulence, a free update that is scheduled to drop on 04 June 2019. The trailer focuses on Menagerie, which is Destiny 2's new non-raid six-player PvE activity.
The final season of Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion is set to arrive on Tuesday, 04 June 2019. Named Season of Opulence it's available to all players and it introduces new challenges, loot and lore.
Bungie shared the first teaser trailer and also detailed some of the features in their latest blog post. The biggest addition in the new season is Menagerie, a brand new, non-raid, six-player PvE activity.
The new activity is set on Calus' Leviathan, the same place where Destiny 2's first raid Leviathan took place. As always, players will have the chance to earn weapons and armour by completing this activity by using Chalice to create an offering of runes in exchange for specific gear. Over time, you'll be able to upgrade the Chalice to acquire more plentiful and powerful rewards.
Menagerie will be available to all players who have completed the Forsaken campaign. Also, those who completed the campaign will get access to the Imperial Summons quest, which grants players Power Surge gear at 690 power.
As for the owners of the Annual Pass, which brings a lot more content on top of the free additions, they will see new Menagerie bosses introduced throughout June 2019, concluding with the introduction of Heroic difficulty. You will be able to matchmake in normal difficulty, but Heroic will require a pre-made team as it's a much greater challenge.
Furthermore, each week, owners of Forsaken expansion will get to explore the worlds in search of treasures. You'll get different objectives from Benedict-44 during the hunt, which will lead to powerful rewards.
There's a lot more to be uncovered as the season progresses - new quests leading to Exotics, The Tribute Hall and Moments of Triumph will open for exploration and Solstice of Heroes will also have new rewards and surprises in store.
