No one likes cheaters and it's a rare opportunity that someone gets to unleash righteous wrath on these buzzkills. One player managed to do it in spectacular fashion though, killing a cheater 21 times before getting killed himself.
Destiny 2 player going by the name DittO was unfortunate enough to encounter a cheater in Crucible. The mode was 3v3 Survival. For those not familiar with the mode's ruleset, the two teams have a limited number of respawns and they kill each other until the life pools are drained. Killing a Guardian when the life pool is drained results in them being knocked out until the round ends.
One individual, named Question Mark, was using a cheat that was two-fold - it would prevent his deaths from removing points from his team's life pool and it would respawn him as soon as he died, in the same spot. The kills still counted for all other purposes though, such as medals, killstreaks and the actual scoreboard.
Faced with overwhelming odds, thanks to Question Mark's cheats, DittO resorted to . He placed a barrier in front of a doorway, used his Super, Hammer of Sol, and proceeded to scorch the ground until the cheater walked into it.
As Question Mark died he kept respawning in the same scorched spot and dying almost instantly. DittO kept killing him over and over, until he ran out of bullets in the mag and started punching the cheater.
It took the cheater 21 deaths to finally get out of the death trap they walked in. Meanwhile, DittO racked up more medals than .
Despite winning, the cheater finished the match with abysmal 0.18 efficiency which should haunt them for a while. This translates to just over five deaths for each kill and assist.
