One of the most annoying issues plaguing Destiny 2 currently is the lack of masterworks on weapons obtained from Banshee-44 and Bungie announced it will be fixed soon.
Masterworking weapons has become essential to Destiny 2 players who get the rolls they want on the desired armaments and when this feature inexplicably becomes unavailable, you know it's going to be a problem.
It appears the devs are aware of this problem as CM Cozmo replied to one fan asking about the missing masterworks, simply stating that the bug will be fixed in the next update.
Unfortunately, he didn't provide any details on it and we can't know for certain if the weapons players obtained previously will get masterworks added retroactively or if it will be only the newly acquired Gunsmith weapons that get masterworks.
It's also unclear when this next update could be - whether it's a hotfix, a weekly reset or something else entirely but it appears that Bungie are well on the bug's trailer and it should be eradicated sooner rather than later.
Either way, it will be good to be rid of this issue since it will allow players to get interesting new pickups for their loadouts, probably.
