Bungie folks seem to have regained control of Destiny 2 servers, the small update has concluded and the live event is now happening. The first changes are in and the Traveler is showing signs of life.

Traveler has laid dormant over the Last City ever since the days of the original Destiny. The only signs of life it showed was when it slapped Ghaul's fart form during the original campaign of Destiny 2 but it's starting to exhibit some changes now.

The first two transformations we witnessed were a small swirl near the bottom of the sphere and protruding light. You can see the swirl both on the header image and the one below. However, the image below was taken a bit later into the event and shows more light manifesting through the cracks in the Traveler.

Interestingly enough, the swirl at the bottom of the Traveler looks a lot like the radiance we could acquire from the Forges before.

Another update happened as the Traveler revolved a bit and showed a side we previously couldn't see from the Tower - the green glow is looking stronger as time passes.

In a periodic update, there isn't much new happening with the Traveler but Hunters and Titans are being friendly to each other. We believed this miracle to be worth writing about.

The Warlock to the side is ignoring the other two and hoping to learn wonderful new things from a phenomenon happening in front of our eyes. In other words, it's business as usual for the 'Lock.

A quest has popped up when you enter The Tower map in the Director, called "The Last City" and the objective is to investigate a disturbance. You get a better view of the Traveler at the end of it, without annoying NPCs talking random lines in the background.

More light is now emanating from the Traveler. It's probably fixing itself.

The Traveler has healed up.

Shortly after, it emitted a massive burst of light.

A short cinematic played out after the burst of light, with Darkness seemingly represented with dark snakes in the Director. The Traveler emitted the light in a scene that seems rather reminiscent of the stories about their clash during the Collapse.

We will keep you posted with more changes as they happen in the game. The event has concluded and Lights are out until Bungie finish up patching the game for Beyond Light. There will be no further updates until that happens.
