Bungie revealed the Exotic Catalysts that will be returning in Season of the Chosen as Destiny 2's content vault keeps rotating things.
Removing roughly half a game will always have unwanted consequences when it comes to Destiny 2, one of those consequences was that we couldn't earn Catalysts that turn some good Exotics into amazing ones anymore. Others that lost their Catalysts weren't that great with or without them but both groups will be making a return in Season 13.
When Season of the Chosen launches in Destiny 2, nine Exotic weapons will get their Catalysts back:
- Izanagi's Burden
- Bad Juju
- Sleeper Stimulant
- The Huckleberry
- Worldline Zero
- Polaris Lance
- Legend of Acrius
- Skyburner's Oath
Some weapons will probably not inspire awe even with their Catalysts back, such as the Skyburner's Oath but there are several that will become excellent additions when those upgrades kick in.
For example, Izanagi's Burden will deal even more damage on that shot when you turn four bullets into one, making it a fantastic way to deal with annoying enemies in PvE that wouldn't go down quickly otherwise. This also makes it a decent boss-burning weapon but hardly anything can compete with Xenophage in that department.
Another great Catalyst that's making a return is the one for Bad Juju, which will allow you to keep that damage bonus up for a longer time, which is always a good thing to have.
