Bungie released a new Beyond Light trailer for Destiny 2 during Xbox Games Show, followed by an FAQ on their own website, revealing interesting details about the expansion.

Destiny 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass, which was announced during the Xbox Games Show presentation. Furthermore, the game will run in 4K at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X which is a testament to the power of Microsoft's next-gen console.

The trailer in which this info was announced featured footage from the upcoming Beyond Light expansion and contained several interesting snippets such as the showcase of new armour the Guardians will get access to. It appears that the most interesting detail about is that Guardians will finally have backpacks so all of those comments made by Ghost about his habitat will not feel that out of context anymore.

A few glimpses of the new Darkness-infused abilities were shown, with Guardians now being able to conjure solid blocks of ice. At one point, they are using an ability to give themselves a platform to stand on while another clip shows someone popping an icy wall in the Crucible. Cross-ability combos are teased as well since the new abilities can encase enemies in ice and others can then shatter them.

Bungie anticipated several questions that the fans will ask when it comes to their deal with Microsoft and posted an FAQ on their website.

One important detail is that the partnership that brings Destiny 2 to Game Pass will not mean exclusivity of any kind, not even timed one. All the content will be available on all platforms, at the same time.

Those playing from Xbox Game Pass will have access to all of Destiny 2's expansions at no extra charge but season passes will still need to be purchased.

There are also some details about what happens if you own all the expansions already or if you pre-ordered Beyond Light so make sure to check it out.
