Destiny 2 players are showering Bungie with feedback about the Iron Banner quest, experience sources and more issues. Everyone's favourite community manager responded to some of those woes but the IB quest is here to stay until the next season.
Players are not happy with many things in Destiny 2 at the moment, with the Iron Banner quest being only one among them. Destiny 2's community manager, Dylan "dmg04" Gafner, took to Twitter to provide some partial answers to the fans and surprisingly not all of them are about passing the feedback along.
In the first tweet of a chain that popped up on 27 December 2019, the CM stated that Bungie are looking into the issues with the seasonal quest, objectives, players' notes on rewards, experience and more. Even better, he confirmed that the team will look into it "in full force " when they get back from the winter holidays.
This raised many hopes but also could have been a source of false hopes. Therefore, dmg04 clarified some claims in subsequent tweets. For example, while they are keeping an eye on Iron Banner quest feedback , they are not promising any changes until Season of Dawn expires. The only promise was that there would be more IB events during the season and the progress would carry over, as per usual.
As for the infamous herding into the bounty pen, players are unhappy that activities that are not bounties now don't justify playing them as the Season Pass progress is inferior compared to bounty farming. Their feedback was noted but got the most common answer in Bungie's history .
Those whose problems with cheating in Destiny 2 are the primary source of nuisance should be relieved as Bungie keep working on eradicating these weeds. However, information about cheaters and their punishments is not going public anytime soon in order to prevent giving these players any spotlight.
