Bungie posted the results of the player vote for the next set of Halloween-themed skins in Destiny 2 and it looks like we are getting more metal and fewer reptiles.
Festival of the Lost is one of the big annual events in Destiny 2 and it's the second year in a row where Bungie let the community decide which skins they want to get for the festivities, with the choice being between mechs and monsters.
In 2021, it was the mechs who won the inaugural competition between the two themes and the reception was somewhat lukewarm. While there weren't many complaints about the skins, the thrills were also missing.
Possibly coming as a surprise to those who rooted for the monsters, the mechs won again in 2022, meaning we will have less diversity in skin lines when it comes to the Festival of the Lost but as you can see from the images above and below, there are significant alterations to the designs.
Anyway, the vote of 2022 ended with 52 per cent in favour of the mechs which means we will be getting the skins pictured above for the Festival of the Lost this year.
If you like the theme, make sure to save up on Bright Dust if you haven't already. Each ornament set will cost you 6,000 Bright Dust so it will be pretty easy to burn through the currency.
Meanwhile, a large number of Hunters is lamenting they won't get a fancy new cloak that was teased with the monsters skin line.
