During two Destiny 2 Shadowkeep preview streams, players noticed that each had one Catalyst drop apiece, confirming the leak which revealed Bungie's plans to introduce Catalysts for Destiny 2 Year 2 exotics.

Destiny 2's fourth major expansion is just around the corner now and in the last couple of weeks, we got a ton of new details, trailers and previews which revealed what exactly can players expect from the new content.

The last two live stream previews confirmed a leak which originally surfaced way back in May 2019. The leak revealed several details about Bungie's plans to introduce Catalysts for Destiny 2's Year 2 Exotics. Bungie are yet to officially confirm this but as already mentioned, the latest streams confirm the leak.

Each of the two preview streams for Destiny 2 Shadowkeep had one Catalys drop, meaning that the Catalysts will indeed be available in the upcoming expansion. The first Catalyst drop was the Cerberus +1 and it can be seen in IGN's video titled "25 Minutes of Destiny 2".

The second one was Ace of Spades Catalyst, which dropped from the Nightfall's final chest. As for the rest of the Catalysts, unfortunately, we'll have to wait for the official release of Shadowkeep expansion. That being said, it's a bit surprising that two Catalysts dropped in a limited preview event.

The May leak found details about 9 different Exotic Catalysts for Year 2 weapons along with eleven other weapon Catalysts without associated stats. Malfeasance, Trinity Ghoul, Lord of Wolves, Wavesplitter, One Thousand Voices, The Queenbreaker, Two-Tailed  Fox and Black Talon all had stats shown when the datamine discovered the files.

Wish-Ender, The Last Word, Thorn, Arbalest, The Chaperone, Izanagi's Burden, Le Monarque, Jotunn, Anarchy and Thunderlord didn't have stats at the time. The Last Word, Thorn, Arbalest, The Chaperone, Izanagi's Burden, Le Monarque, Jotunn, Anarchy, and Thunderlord are the ones that didn't have stats at the time.

Piecing the clues together, Cerberus was initially part of the first list while Ace of Spades is in the second one, it appears that all listed Exotics will receive Catalysts in Shadowkeep expansion. However, take this with a grain of salt until we get the official confirmation.
