Bungie made many Destiny 2 players happy with Armor 2.0 and now they are looking to make them even happier as the players' main grievances will be dealth with in the next season. Most importantly, Elemental Affinity will be changeable and seasonal mods more flexible.
Elemental Affinity is either a blessing or a curse in Destiny 2, depending on whether you roll the one you want with the armour piece that has a high stat count. If a Guardian happens to get a piece with 70 attributes in total, it can take them into the zone of extreme happiness, which soon becomes despair because the gear has Solar affinity instead of Void or Arc. Or the other way around.
In that case, a player would need to grind for a perfect roll all over again and hope the affinity would be better this time around. This additional grind will be eliminated in Season of the Worthy. Elemental Affinity will become a stat of sorts since players will be able to alter it, using one Upgrade Module.
Considering many of these are dispensed through the Season Pass and Gunsmith bounties, the grind will be cut down significantly. That is not all of the good news though.
proved to be even better than expected as seasonal mods will not be locked to just the armour from that particular season. Starting with Season of the Worthy, into all armour that was acquired in the previous season, the armour from the current season and one upcoming season, thus extending intervals between the forced grind.
With the price of masterworking the armour pieces being so high, this change stands to make Guardians extremely happy. This is especially the case for those who prefer playing the Crucible as they don't necessarily enjoy grinding Nightfalls for the materials.
