Heavy is the head that wears the crown, and we may feel the weight even more, soon enough

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S crowds are about to get their hands on Crusader Kings 3. Paradox announced the next-gen release by sharing a fresh trailer.

Paradox Interactive’s hit grand strategy RPG Crusader Kings 3 is making a royal journey to next-gen consoles. The news comes from Paradox' official YouTube channel and has fans everywhere rejoicing at the imminent arrival. This may be the reason the devs had to somewhat postpone The Royal Court expansion, hired some fresh blood and branched off into different teams to tackle the new tasks separately.

The game played across generations is still to receive its PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass release date, but we do have the announcement trailer to tide us over.

Crusader Kings 3 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5

Crusader Kings 3 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 will take advantage of the more prominent next-gen features such as faster load times and seamless switching between console apps and the game. Players experiencing Crusader Kings 3 on PlayStation 5 will be able to experience its stress mechanics firsthand, by way of the DualSense controllers.

Crusader Kings 3 next-gen console release date

Paradox Interactive firmly set the next-gen version of Crusader Kings 3 on "coming soon". Crusader Kings 3 for PC was released on September 1, 2020, but it's somehow less than realistic to expect the same release date for consoles, especially considering the fact this is the series' debut on consoles.

About Crusader Kings 3

Crusader Kings 3 is a strategy RPG set in the Middle Ages where players may choose the year they start their dynasty, but everything will always end in 1453 with the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire.

Paradox Interactive released the PC version of Crusader Kings 3 on September 1, 2020, and players immediately started inbreeding, making alliances, crowning them with arranged marriages and cannibalizing some popes .
