Paradox's upcoming turn-based strategy RPG The Lamplighters League can now be pre-loaded and pre-installed if you are subscribed to Microsoft's service Xbox Game Pass.

Turn-based RPG The Lamplighters League, which is hitting the shelves early next month, can now be pre-installed if you have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.

This means that Paradox Interactive's title can be pre-loaded on Xbox Series consoles or PC via the Xbox app. Pre-load is yet to be available on other PC storefronts like Steam or Epic Games Store.

The download size of The Lamplighters League is just over 16 GB on both PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, which is certainly great news since we're in the age where games regularly hit 100 GB.

Anyway, if you didn't have the time to check out The Lamplighters League by now, it's a turn-based tactical RPG from Battletech and Shadowrun Returns developer Harebrained Schemes

The game is published by Paradox Interactive and it's coming on October 3, 2023, to PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, meaning that it's a console exclusive for Microsoft's platforms, at least for a while.

The publisher are yet to confirm whether or not the game is coming to PlayStation 5 but give it a few months and we'll probably get some confirmation on that.

According to the official description, The Lamplighters League is set in an alternate 1930s, where a tyrannical cult Banished Court, which awfully reminds of Nazis, is about to take over the world.

You take control of a group of heroic scholars known as The Lamplighters League and recruit new characters to fight the cult before they bring the world to an end.

The premise certainly sounds great and for the fans of tactical RPGs, this could be one of the biggest surprises of 2023.
