Paradox Interactive released a new trailer for Crusader Kings 3 along with the game's release date and the ability to pre-order. It seems like a success so far, since the game is selling like hotcakes on Steam.
Steam's top-selling ranking changes pretty much in real-time due to games being constantly sold. However, it is still a good indicator of an upcoming success when a game tops the list just an hour after it was announced.
This was the case with Crusader Kings 3, the next instalment in Paradox's grand strategy franchise. The trailer that you can see below popped up on May 14 and revealed the release date will be September 1, 2020. Viewers were also notified the game was up for pre-order, which resulted in the aforementioned purchasing rush.
Players will be able to choose a royal or noble house from a huge selection that "stretches from Iceland to India, from the Arctic Circle to Central Africa", already hinting the players will have a lot of content and variety at launch.
The intrigue that always drew players to Crusader Kings will be present in the third instalment as well since the developers already stated some of the familiar character traits will make a return.
Violent characters will scare the population with their reputation and force them into obedience while those who prefer more subtle methods can do so as well. Recruiting agents can grant players the help needed to undermine or murder those who oppose them.
Then you have the less lethal way of dealing with politics by seducing other characters or gathering information in order to blackmail them or call in some favours when necessary.
System requirements displayed on the Steam page are not particularly high so you can run the game on just about any rig.
