Console warriors are arguing about Starfield's planetary exploration, claiming that the game doesn't have seamless travel around the planet and features invisible barriers.

As we get closer to the launch of Starfield, more leaks have started to surface, revealing new, unofficial details about the game. One of these details is the game's planetary exploration system. Apparently, Starfield won't let you walk across the entire planet in one go, instead, it splits the planet into large zones and each zone will be as big as the entire Skyrim map.

Unconfirmed leaked screenshots (which we won't share) reveal that at a certain point, Starfield will tell you to go back to your ship to get to the next area on the planet, which could be one form of the invisible boundaries in Bethesda's RPG.

Some console fanboys have made this their major talking point to bash the game that they haven't even played yet, which is as absurd as the whole console wars get.

Some PlayStation fanboys are even accusing Todd Howard of lying to gamers, but the truth is, Howard never really talked about whether or not players can walk across the entire planet. Howard did say that players will be able to land anywhere on the planet and that does seem to be true.

Bethesda's Pete Hines was also a target of fanboys. In one of the posts on X, Hines replied to a question about planet exploration, confirming that players will be able to explore the entire planet. "When I land on a planet.. will I be able to explore that whole entire planet?," one X user asked, to which Hines replied affirmately: "Yup, if you want. Walk on, brave explorer."

If you're wondering why are people even talking about this and why is Starfield criticised before it's even out, well, it's all due to the fact that this sci-fi RPG is exclusive to one platform and that's Xbox. As you probably know, Starfield is not available on PlayStation 5 and it's one of the biggest releases of 2023 therefore it's used as fuel in silly console wars.

PlayStation fans are trying their best to downplay the size of this release while Xbox fans, on the other hand, are hyping up the launch of Bethesda's first new IP in decades.

Starfield will finally release later this week with reviews coming out shortly before that. Starfield is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S and will be a day one Game Pass release.
