Call of Duty: Vanguard will be available for pre-load on PlayStation 5 on October 29, 2021. The base game size is 26 GB without the day one patch.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to release next month, and if you are looking forward to it and have pre-ordered the game, you would probably love to know when exactly you can start pre-loading.
In case you're not familiar with the "pre-loading" process, it's a feature on all platforms that allows you to download and install the game on your PC/console before the servers go live. This way, those with a slower internet connection can get everything up and running on time and this is especially important for games that usually have large download sizes, like Call of Duty.
Anyway, the pre-load for Call of Duty Vanguard on PlayStation 5 and presumably PlayStation 4 will start on October 29, 2021, a week before the official launch of the game. That's certainly plenty of time to download the game, even with the slowest of internet speeds.
As for the download size, the game's base size is 26.646 GB and this is without the day one patch. We assume that this includes the multiplayer-only but that would be speculation at this point as the file size for separate packs has not been revealed. Activision offer separate download for Campaign, Zombies, Multiplayer and Co-op, which is why we expect the total file size to be over 100 GB.
Call of Duty Vanguard is officially hitting the shelves on November 5, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
