Infinity Ward and Activision have extended Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season One to 11 February 2020 to make room for all the upcoming content.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a lot of new content ever since the game released a couple of months ago but the devs Infinity Ward and the publisher Activision are looking to add even more fresh challenges, weapons and items in the upcoming updates.
To make room for all this new content, Infinity Ward decided to extend Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season One. It is a one-time extension that pushes the end date to 11 February 2020 when Season Two should officially drop. Here is the announcement from Infinity Ward in full:
"Over the next few weeks, a host of new items and challenges will arrive, including an in-game Challenge to earn the new Crossbow weapon, more remixed game modes, new playlists, and more in the Store to discover. To make room for all that activity, we are making a one-time extension of Season One – it’s now ending on February 11. During that time, there will be 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier Progression to help you finish up your Officer Ranks and Tiers, and get you ready for an exciting Season Two."
As you can see, Infinity Ward also plan to host a lot of double XP events so even if you still have a long way to go in the Battle Pass, fear not, these events should help with that.
The next batch of content will also introduce a new Challenge which will reward players with the new Crossbow weapon once they have completed it.
