Destiny 2 devs are continuing with the support for the Ukrainian people, following the charity that was already held for the victims of the war.

Bungie held a charity from February 24 to March 2, 2022, with the aim of donating the proceeds to humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The people behind Destiny 2 didn't stop there, however, and the latest TWAB revealed another form of supporting Ukraine - a free emblem for any Guardian who wants to redeem it.

While the initial references, such as the colour scheme and Ukraine's coat of arms, are obvious, the emblem bears even more symbology. It is called " Cоняшник", which means "sunflower" when translated to English.

The viral video of the lady offering sunflower seeds to a Russian soldier is probably the first reference you will get here but the sunflower bears more meaning to Ukraine. After Ukraine destroyed its nuclear arsenal, defence ministers from the US, Ukraine and Russia planted sunflowers in a former missile base, essentially making it a national symbol of peace.

Besides that instance, sunflowers have been the Ukrainian national symbol for other reasons, like driving up the country's economy since it's one of the two biggest exporters of sunflower oil, next to Russia.

Back to the emblem, it can showcase your stats from:
