Battlefield 6 is tracking towards the franchise’s earliest Alpha, EA have confirmed in their latest blog post. Additionally, some players may have found proof of the game's setting.

EA recently confirmed that Need for Speed studio Criterion have joined DICE to work on the upcoming Battlefield 6 title. Additionally,  EA revealed that Battlefield 6 is coming together to be an exceptional game, tracking towards the franchise’s earliest Alpha.

At the moment, we do not know whether EA plan to invite players to join Alpha or not but it's certainly possible that we'll get to play it since Battlefield V had closed Alpha too. If we had to guess, the Alpha could be hosted in late May or early June 2021. Battlefield V's Alpha kicked off on June 28.

In addition to these details about Alpha, we also have some info about a potential setting for Battlefield 6. Players discovered a teaser in EA's early tech demo where they hid a number on the character's nose. It seems that these numbers represent the coordinates of a place in Kazahkstan.

On top of this, Eidolon easter egg skin in Battlefield V has a medallion on it that also has some interesting numbers. If you put those numbers together with altitude and longitude, you get another location in Kazahkstan.

Now, could this be just a coincidence? Well, it's certainly one explanation but don't rule out a possibility that this is indeed a teaser for the upcoming Battlefield game.

Thanks to some reliable sources like Tom Henderson on Twitter, we know that Battlefield 6 will be set in the modern-day. Perhaps we're getting another US-Russia conflict inspired game.

The game should be revealed in May 2021 so we won't have to wait for too long to see if these rumours and teases are indeed real.
