Battlefield fans have one less thing to worry about. EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed the upcoming Battlefield 6 will not launch with an unexpected price increase. Speculation had recently emerged that the next game in the series would launch at $80. However, Wilson said during EA’s Q1 FY26 earnings call that the company “will not make any dramatic changes in pricing for frontline games.” 

He was in reference to EA’s premium games like Battlefield and FIFA which have both historically cost $70 to buy. Battlefield 6 is looking to be EA’s largest yet. Wilson stated that this iteration of the franchise is getting the “most investment in the history of the franchise.” 

He also highlighted the team is listening to fans in order to build the best Battlefield experience for players old and new.Wilson also teased what he described as EA’s “most ambitious reveal ever,” for the next game in the series coming this Thursday. 

Streamers will also be able to get their hands on the game and live stream gameplay on launch day. On deck will be detailed gameplay for large-scale maps, multiplayer modes, developer diaries, and more, giving fans a glimpse into what’s to come.

Wilson’s comments have not been officially confirmed by EA, but they sure did heat up anticipation in the meantime.For now, it seems Battlefield 6 will be a gigantic game, and not a more expensive one.
