The upcoming Battlefield game probably won't shy away from in-game purchases and battle passes and one of the many items that you'll get to customise is your robot dog.
EA and DICE are yet to reveal the next Battlefield game but that could change in just a couple of weeks with the rumoured reveal event set for May 2021. Even though the official info regarding Battlefield 2021 game is pretty scarce at the moment, thanks to some reliable leakers and insiders we already know a ton of details about the game, including its story, setting and many other gameplay features.
Today we have another leak coming from well-known and respected industry insider Tom Henderson who offered his thoughts on the game's potential microtransactions, in-game store and similar mechanics.
When asked if the game will have "stupid cosmetics" like Battlefield V, Henderson replied that players should expect cosmetics due to the game's setting which is modern day warfare. Additionally, he specifically mentioned that players will get to customise their robot dogs.
"Just due to the nature of the setting - I think expectations should be set that there will be some wacky cosmetics - Which isn't necessarily a bad thing and is actually pretty cool," he tweeted. "Your robot doggy will also be customisable."
Battlefield is currently in development. Platforms, release date and other details are yet to be confirmed but the game is expected later this year during the holiday season on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rumour has it, the game will not release on last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One.
