Dynamic weather, the world reacting to your actions, the new quest system, and more are to be expected in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, according to the latest rumours.
While waiting for more information from Ubisoft regarding their upcoming action-adventure Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora , Reddit user Eht_Hctins shared a post in which they mention some really interesting details about the game. Aside from what we already know about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, several of the points raised here have peaked our attention.
According to the leaker, players will be able to use Pandora's creatures for assistance, whether on land or in the air, and most of them will be tamable.
Furthermore, there will be several adjustments to the quest system in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora when compared to past Ubisoft titles. Quests will be less like "Go here and do this", but more like "Figure it out on your own".
There will be no traditional quest markers, but rather general directions that will lead you to the specific place where you must figure out the quest through exploration. We've already seen this approach to the side quests from Ubisoft in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla , and it was very well received among the players.
The game's dynamic world and weather will also be present. After completing some tasks, the environment will change as a result of your activities when you return to the same location. The entire world will react to specific situations, such as flying creatures refusing to fly in stormy weather or characters seeking cover from storms.
Eht_Hctins also said that the game has a lot of issues, which is understandable considering that it is still in development. We can only hope that once it is launched, the final product will be less technically problematic.
The story of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will take place a year before the events of James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water. You will play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora.
The exact release date is currently unknown but Ubisoft's official website says simply "coming soon". Previous reports state that the game is expected to be released in 2023.
