Lights. Camera. Action. Respawn delivered the trailer for Season 4: Assimilation and it's easily the most brutal one yet, with the mysterious assailant Revenant wreaking havoc and then some. What the hell is Revenant? Well, death apparently.
As we came to expect after the generous teases of the elusive upcoming legend, including 's brief PR stint prior to his introduction to Season 4: Assimilation, he is most certainly a major player for the future.
That's not just in terms of gameplay, as the Apex Legends developer is keen on building the lore as much as possible. And the impact is undeniable because let's face it - there's no battle royale with more character out there - and made that painfully clear.
Revenant obviously has many bones to pick with Hammon Robotics, and the latter's construction undertakings are just one thing targeted by the self-proclaimed death.
If that's not enough lore for you, Respawn are clearly building the story towards even bigger cliffhangers, as the image from the end of the trailer (screencapped below) undeniably foreshadows a revenge story, to what already seems to be a revenge tale. A disturbing one too.

If Respawn continue with the lore-building like they started these days, we'll be learning all the specifics on Revenant in no time, but for now, the only officially confirmed bit of information is that the new Apex Legends character is technically a support character.
