One of the best games of 2023 and our personal favourite Alan Wake 2 has just received its first update in 2024.
The developer Remedy Entertainment have revealed via their social media channels that Update 1.15 is now available to download and install across all platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The biggest highlight of Update 1.15 is certainly a brand new feature called Chapter Selection. As the name suggests, the Chapter Selection function allows you to load up any mission you want and replay it fully from start to finish.
Remedy jokingly invite players to replay the We Sing mission over and over again to potentially annoy their neighbours.
On a serious note, the team decided to push this feature out to the players to make it a bit easier to obtain some trophies/achievements and collectables.
Some of these were very difficult to obtain in a single run but with Chapter Select, this task should become much, much easier.
In addition, this latest update also brings the much-requested option to tune down the horror flashes, one of the rare things in Alan Wake 2 that we didn't really appreciate as much as the rest of the game.
Last but not least, Update 1.15 brings a ton of game fixes and improvements to gameplay, UI, sound and visuals and more.
There are also PC-specific improvements to Frame Generation stability and the game will now let you know when you're out of memory.
You can check out the full list of fixes on the official Alan Wake 2 website.
