Alan Wake voice actor Matthew Poretta has claimed that Remedy's psychological horror Alan Wake 2 is scheduled to release in October 2023.
Alan Wake 2 is one of the most anticipated horror games of 2023 along with Silent Hill 2 Remake and we might have got first details about the game's target release date.
According to voice actor Matthew Poretta , the man who voices Alan Wake, Remedy's psychological horror could be coming sometime in October 2023.
Sadly, the details are pretty scarce so that's about everything that Poretta hinted at. If we had to guess, we would say that the release should be coming sometime around Halloween, which is on October 31, 2023.
Why Halloween? Well, it's somewhat of a tradition for horror games to target the spooky period in Autumn. It certainly makes sense as many players are on the lookout for good horror games to play around Halloween.
Also, Remedy recently said that Alan Wake 2 is in the final stages of development, which could mean that the dev team only need these five to six months to wrap up the optimisation and polishing of the game.
Given that the game is in the final stages of development and its voice actor pretty much revealed it's coming later this year, expect to see more of Alan Wake 2 very soon, potentially at the Summer Games Fest or other major gaming events this summer.
Alan Wake 2 is a full-fledged next-gen game so it will be coming to PC , PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X|S.
