AGDQ 2023 went through successfully despite the problems the event ran into when it comes to the venue.
AGDQ 2023 has had problems with the venue this year, resulting in the cancellation of the contract so there wasn't one place where all the runs would happen.
The organisers pulled it together quickly and made the speedrun marathon happen anyway and it's not the first time they managed to dig the event out of the jaws of the abyss - something similar happened during the COVID period as well.
In any case, AGDQ 2023 raised just over $2.6 million in charity for Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Just like every year, the speed runs had a whole lot of impressive gameplay and even then there were a few highlights where the runners stood above the rest.
Benja and Paul-Knives succeeded in setting the new world record for Any% co-op in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge as the players executed super moves in mesmerising harmony to progress stage as quickly as possible.
Similarly, Jhay broke the record for Super Mario Galaxy 2 while a total of six players went for the PowerWash Simulator world record .
One interesting record is that set for Steven Seagal Is: The Final Option by Crak Atak . You didn't know a game with mo-capped Steven Seagal existed? Now you do. Technically it's just a prototype but it's functioning enough to be played through.
