Riven, the puzzle-solving adventure from Cyan Worlds, features a lot of different puzzles that will challenge even the keenest eyes and sharpest wits, because some of the puzzles are so hard that you'll probably need some side help to solve them.
At the very beginning of the game, you'll be transported to an island, from which you'll need to escape, and naturally, escape will be possible only through solving a couple of puzzles. The second one will be connected directly with escape, and once you solve it, you'll be granted passage away from the island.
If you find leaving Temple Island too challenging, we've prepared a guide that will lead you through it step-by-step, explaining all the steps thoroughly.
How to escape Temple Island in Riven
Once you solve the rotating room puzzle, you'll gain access to the golden dome, and the solution to escape island is lying just there. Go downstairs and take the first exit. Follow the path outside and enter the next room. Inside, you'll find a strange spider-like chair that will open once you enter the room.
Take a seat and notice two levers on each side of the chair. Manipulate them until you see that the drawbridge is lowered and the door inside one of the rooms is open. Now, exit the spider chair, backtrack all the way to the entrance of the rotating room, and cross the drawbridge. Follow the path and it will lead you to a room with some strange pillars. Opposite the altar in this room is a door that was closed earlier, and now you've opened it using the spider chair.
Exit through the door, and you'll see some kind of cable car construction. Call a cable car by pressing the blue button nearby. Wait a couple of seconds and once the car arrives, enter it, use a leaver to change its direction, and push the leaver to send it forward. Once you exit the cable car, you'll reach chapter 2, called Jungle Island, and, of course, get the corresponding achievement.
