Riven, the latest puzzle adventure from Cyan Worlds, features puzzles that become gradually harder as the game progresses, and towards the end of the game, some of the puzzles will really challenge you.
Survey Island is the fifth island you'll visit in Riven, and its first puzzle seems very difficult, but if you know what to do and how to solve it, it really isn't such a big deal.
This puzzle is the one that resembles a Tetris board, where you must combine several different shapes to solve it successfully. If this puzzle is giving you a headache, this guide has the solution to it.
How to solve the Tetris-like puzzle on Survey Island
Once you reach survey Island, make your way up the stairs, and soon you'll arrive to a place featuring five different shapes located inside a body of water with a small path you can take through it. Above this body of water is a control panel with Tetris-like commands.
To solve this puzzle, you must arrange the shapes to fill up all the empty spaces and form a cube. The best advice is to remove the L-shaped piece from the right side and bring it to the left side. Once you manage to do this, the other pieces will easily be arranged. All the shapes must be placed in a manner like what you see inside the water in front of you.
Once you solve the puzzle, the golden buttons will appear on the panel. Take a screenshot of the panel or remember the positions of the golden dots—those dots correspond to the ones you'll need later to activate a panel on the lift. The lift will take you to the other area and, of course, the new puzzles.
