Palworld, the immensely popular survival game by Pocket Pair, introduces unique mechanics for survival. In this game, you have the ability to capture various types of Pals (creatures akin to Pokémon) that can work on your behalf, generating resources. It becomes your responsibility to care for them by providing food, beds, and other necessities.
Certainly, Pals in Palworld require periodic feeding, demanding your constant presence to ensure they don't starve. This leaves you with little room to attend to other tasks.
Naturally, there's a more convenient and straightforward method where your Pals can autonomously generate their own food, establishing a self-sustaining cycle that requires minimal intervention on your part, except for implementing necessary upgrades. If you're keen on learning how to set this up, refer to our guide for detailed instructions.
How to make Pals produce food on their own
To achieve this, there are certain prerequisites that must be met. Firstly, you need to reach at least level five to construct a berry plantation. This requires basic materials, including 20 pieces of wood, 20 pieces of stone, and three berry seeds. Once the plantation is established, you can proceed to the second part of the task.
The second part of this task involves hunting, as you'll need two specific Pals—one with "grass" in the description and another with "water." Early in the game, the best options are Pengullet, located northwest of the initial spawn point near the second fast travel point, close to the water; and Gumoss, found abundantly near the initial spawn point.
The next step in your base setup is the Feed Box, where your Pals will obtain their food. Now, proceed to hire new Pals. Gumoss ensures the plantation is consistently sown, while Pengullet takes care of proper watering. When the berries are ready for harvest, Pals automatically collect and transport them to the Feed Box for consumption, relieving you of the responsibility. If your base expands with more Pals and increased food needs, simply construct additional plantations to meet the demand.
