Palworld, the most recent survival game developed by Pocket Pair, is undeniably the standout hit of the month. Despite being in beta, the remarkable records it is setting on Steam and Xbox Game Pass are truly impressive.
While Palworld may not be flawless, the concept of survival intertwined with Pokémon-like creatures, known as Pals, has resonated strongly with players. The fact that the game sold eight million copies in the first five days speaks volumes for its appeal.
Alongside the unique Pals mechanics, the game predominantly features other mechanics typical of survival games, with numerous small secrets scattered throughout the game world. One of these mysteries, at least initially, revolves around Lifmunk Effigies—distinctive glowing statues spread across the world. If you're curious about their purpose and usage, we've prepared a guide for you.
How to use Lifmunk Effigies
Right from the start of the game, you'll come across these small statues scattered throughout the world. Upon checking your inventory, you'll notice them categorised as key items, signifying their significance in the game. To unravel their purpose, head to coordinates 62, -417 on the map. There, you'll encounter a fast-travel point and a landmark known as the Desolate Church.
Inside the church, there is a sizable statue where you can utilise the Lifmunk Effigies you've gathered to enhance the stats of both your character and your Pals. These stats align with the ones that naturally increase as you level up, providing an additional means to bolster the strength and capabilities of both your character and your Pals.
It's crucial to recognise that each Lifmunk Effigy increases a single stat, and for subsequent improvements, you'll require twice as many effigies. Hence, thoughtful consideration is necessary regarding how you allocate them, akin to managing XP points.
